LIFE ENERGY OVERVIEW
LIFE ENERGY SARA SARL DRC is a Congolese-American Company composed of a local tribe in Kinshasa, Rainbow Tabernacle church, and American Partners. LIFE Energy DRC is an innovative and green development company created to build, operate and manage a healthcare focused Smart City land development project named “Life City”. Life City will be an urban community for 250,000+ inhabitants anchored by Agriculture, Education, Entertainment, Healthcare, Industrial, Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Technology, and other related industries and services that can serve as the source of job creation and sustainability for the community modeled after Izulu City, a new healthcare focused city development project located in South Africa. Employment in these diverse industry sectors will anchor the city’s economy and lead to the creation and support of smaller entreprenurial businesses and ultimately the proliferation of an emerging middle-class. LIFE City will include SMART City living concepts, infrastructure and services designed to efficiently and sustainably use resources as well as enhance the quality of life for all city inhabitants. Urban design and planning will balance long-term needs of municipal service delivery of growing urban populations with sustainable and green conservation concepts that work in harmony with nature while drastically reducing our carbon footprint.
Problem Statement: There are over 4 million people facing a housing deficit, which will require over 250,000+ houses to be built per year throughout the DRC with the vast majority of the need in Kinshasa. Most of the private housing developments especially low-cost housing is characterized by non-compliance to local development master plans and municipal building standards. Almost 70 percent of urban fabric extensions are unlawful and over 70% of the urban population live in slums, of which 50% percent do not have access to water, a clean sanitation system and waste disposal.
